Financial Aid
We would like to help you enable your son to attend Reishit. If you are seeking financial aid, there are several sources for you to explore. Most are dependent on financial need and require verification of financial status (such as most recent tax forms).
These are the most common options to explore for financial aid:
- MASA – a Jewish Agency project, MASA provides a $1000 grant towards tuition per student and they also provide needs based scholarships. Apply online at masaisrael.org and fill out the application including the extra page requesting scholarship. After you have completed it you will receive a copy of the application in your email. Please print the last page, sign it and fax it to me for processing with your 2011 tax forms.
- Government aid – If you attend Reishit through a program such as Yeshiva University, you might be eligible for Federal and in some cases State grants and loans. For more information access Yeshiva University’s website at yu.edu
- Local High School and/or Federation – very often local high schools and federations offer scholarships for local residents to help enable them to study in Israel.
- studyinisrael.org which has a few more ideas for financial aid.
- Reishit – We have a small scholarship fund. Please fill out the application available below and fax it to me with your 2011 tax forms. If you have sent them with the MASA forms it is not necessary to send it again.
MASA FORMS, REISHIT FINANCIAL AID FORMS AND 2011 TAX FORMS SHOULD BE FAXED TO 718-766-7742. IF YOU HAVE APPLIED FOR FAFSA OR ARE RECEIVING ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL AID FROM ANOTHER SOURCE, PLEASE INFORM US BY EMAIL rashie@reishit.org
