Hosting Guest Speakers and special programming are an important part of the educational experience at Reishit. A wide range of lecturers, authors, teachers and public personalities visit the Yeshiva throughout the year to share their experience and insight, to share Torah, inspire, broaden our horizons and strengthen our Jewish identity.

Fundamentals of Faith
- Since 2001, we have hosted Professor Gerald Schroeder, a leading expert on understanding Torah and Science and best- selling author of “Genesis and The Big Bang” and “The Age of the Universe.” Professor Schroeder, formerly of MIT and NASA, tackles a startling array of topics, including creationism and evolution, dinosaurs and fossils, pre-historic man, and many other “controversial” issues, shedding light and clarifying a wide range of questions.
Other participants in our Annual Yom Iyun addressing Fundamentals of Faith have included: Rabbi Ari Kahn, Rabbi Pinchas Winston, Rabbi Mendel Blachman and Rabbi Dr. Nathan Lopes-Cardozo.
